The Spirit of Giving Is Easy!
Many feel lonely during this time of the year, so why not look for someone to reach out to? Make it a family experience by involving your children in the process and joy of giving. Consider cleaning out the toy box and finding toys to give away. Make sure they are in great condition—no one wants t play with broken toys. Allow your children to make a Christmas card for the recipient and include a special message.
Bake cookies and give away some yummy treats to your friends and neighbors. It’s a great way to be thoughtful without spending a lot of money.
Pack a shoebox of small toys and hygiene items that are age appropriate and be a part of Operation Christmas Child, or other charities that distribute your boxes to needy children across the world.
Consider buying a bag of groceries for someone in need. Gift cards are also great for this! Even a gas card can be a great way to really bless someone in need.
Christmas presents us with tons of opportunity to give. You just have to have your eyes open because there is tremendous need all around us if we will look! You have a great chance this season to be a part of possibly changing someone’s life for the better. Don’t let it pass you by! Even better, keep up that spirit of giving all year.
