Great Ways To Spend the Day Indoors In Myrtle Beach

Monday, June 16, 2014 – by OVR Staff
Ok, so summer has finally arrived and you’re finally here in Myrtle Beach, enjoying that long awaited vacay with the family. Now, what do you do? Well, for starters you can enjoy the beach and the sound of the waves as you wake up in the morning. Then, you can soak up the sun all day or enjoy a book under a beach umbrella. But what about those rainy days or the days when you just need a break from the heat and sun? What to do then so the kids don’t go crazy? Well, fortunately for you, Myrtle Beach is full of indoor attractions where you can have fun with the kids and cool off from the heat. Here are just a few of our favorites:

1.WonderWorks. This is a fun, interactive experience for the whole family. Enjoy science as it comes to life, try your hand at all the various exhibits and even ride some cool rides, all indoors! There is no shortage of stuff to keep your kids stimulated and entertained in this upside-down building!
2.Encounters: UFO Experience. This is one of the top rated museums in the nation and now it has come to Myrtle Beach! Go behind the scenes to find out about alien life, UFO sightings and much more!
3.The Children’s Museum of South Carolina. This is a fantastic way for your kids to explore their world first-hand with lots of fun exhibits and interactive displays. Come discover your world with your kids!
4.The Hollywood Wax Museum. Opening this summer, it’s dedicated totally to the celebrities that make Hollywood so special. Get up close and personal with your favorite movie stars, both present and past!
These are just a few of the great ways to spend a day here in Myrtle Beach. So when you need an afternoon indoors to escape the heat, or something to do on a rainy day, go check out one of these great options! As always, call us here at Oceanfront Vacations to schedule your next vacation here in Myrtle Beach and ask us for even more great tips!
